Thirty days after close, leadership needs more than a list of completed tasks. They need to know whether the post-merger integration is delivering the outcomes it promised. This PowerPoint presentation answers that question by reporting progress against defined end states rather than activities.
The report evaluates 28 end states spanning seven workstreams. Each is assessed using a simple visual scorecard that shows whether the outcome has been achieved, is in progress, or is not yet due. The emphasis is on results, giving executives a clear view of overall integration health at a glance.
Each workstream is evaluated through the lens of the stakeholders it serves. Instead of asking whether work was completed, the report asks whether employees, customers, executives, regulators, and other key audiences are experiencing the intended outcomes. This shifts the conversation from execution to value delivered.
The report also distinguishes between work that should be complete versus work intentionally scheduled for later in the integration. For example, Day 1 and early stabilization activities are expected to be finished by Day 30, while other longer-term integration projects such as system conversions will occur in the months that follow. That context prevents unfinished future work from being mistaken for poor performance.
Ultimately, this report is an accountability tool. It gives leaders an objective view of integration progress, highlights where attention is needed, and confirms whether the organization is on track to realize the value the acquisition was intended to create.
