The presentation answers the question whether Information Technology is ready for Day 1.

The following are the titles and summaries of several of the slides:

  • Day 1 Readiness: Eighteen critical pre-close activities are completed before the readiness gate, including vulnerability remediation, device provisioning, secure network connectivity, unified email, identity management, and Minimum Viable Access for every acquired employee.
  • Day 1 & Week 1 Execution: IT verifies employee access, network connectivity, and security monitoring on Day 1, then deploys collaboration tools, supports end-user onboarding, and begins infrastructure consolidation during the first week.
  • Systems & Infrastructure: Every critical technology platform—including networks, email, HR systems, device management, payroll integration, and the IT intranet—is validated, tested, and ready to support uninterrupted Day 1 operations.
  • Security & Compliance: Cybersecurity and compliance controls are fully in place before go-live, including vulnerability remediation, SIEM monitoring, identity and access management, data privacy safeguards, disaster recovery readiness, vendor approvals, and SOX-related controls.
  • Key Risks & Mitigations (Part 1): The highest-priority risks—including authentication failures, service desk overload, and control validation issues—are actively managed through contingency plans, while a previously identified network outage risk has already been resolved.
  • Key Risks & Mitigations (Part 2): Additional risks focus on retaining key IT personnel and addressing undocumented systems and technical debt, supported by cross-training, expanded service desk capacity, and defined mitigation plans.
  • Day 1 War Room: A dedicated command center, activated before close, provides real-time monitoring, structured escalation, rapid decision-making, and expanded support resources to resolve issues quickly and keep the business operating without disruption.

The presentation concludes with formal confirmation that IT systems, infrastructure, security, and support teams are fully prepared, to give employees a seamless technology experience and provide the stable IT foundation for every other workstream.
